CARG evolved in 1985 from the graduates of the Saskatoon Tri-Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. CARG was incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit organization in the Province of Saskatchewan and received a charitable organization status from Canada Customs and Revenue Agency in 1999. CARG offers its members group support and fellowship, an opportunity to participate in an exercise program supervised by qualified staff of the Saskatoon Health Region, and continuing education and social events.
